Here is how it works, a small energy efficient pump is installed at the water heater. The pump comes with a built in timer for more energy savings. The second part or the system is a bypass valve which allows water to be pumped from the hot side of the water system to the cold side. This valve installs under a sink or lavatory at the fixture located the farthest away from your water heater. This eliminates water run off and conserves water.
